Hey there! Are you ready to learn how to be consistent with your branding photography? I get this question quite often …

How Often Should I Do It?

If I am honest, I think this varies for each small business. I’ll touch on that in just a few, BUT on average, I think branding photography should be refreshed AT LEAST twice a year!

You may say “Madalyn, that’s a lot of money to invest just for social media content and photos of myself!” Yeah, that’s what I told myself when I was creating the branding collections for you. I get it. But if you think about all the courses, the workshops, the templates that you invest in, you realize that it’s not that big of a deal. 

If making the investment is still scary for you (I was there, I get it!) Then here are some tips on how to be consistent with Branding Photography & to make the most out of your ONE branding experience (I suggest the Girl Boss package!):

  • Before your session, map out your entire YEAR! Yikes! That is a lot but trust me it helps! I use a Simplified Planner for my daily schedule & then I do a quarterly calendar like THIS ONE for business launches, events, etc!
  • Once you’ve mapped out your year, make a list of photos that you know you’ll need.
    • Holidays, Birthdays, National Day of XYZ, Anniversaries, Client Launches, Product Launches, you name it! To make this easier, click here for a list of Federal Holidays! As far as product & client launches, if this is intimidating don’t fret – I can help! 
  • Now, depending on which collection you chose, you need to plan location(s), outfit(s), and make your shot list! Come learn more on How to Plan Your Branding Experience, here!
  • As far as outfits, think YEAR ROUND! Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall

If making the investment isn’t difficult for you then I say doing a branding experience once a quarter is beneficial for your business, here’s why:

  • Updated social media content for your audience to connect in new ways
  • Seasonal headshots for you to use without feeling weird about wearing a sweater in the middle of summer 
  • A way to step aside and be creative for FUN to help bring life into your brand
  • Continue to connect with your audience by showing more of you, your why & what makes you, you!

I will say though, if you’re a product or clothing based business, you know just as well as I do but your inventory changes constantly!
